Our coach Edson Jorge is presently helping George St. Pierre train and improve his jiu-jitsu (in preparation for his upcoming UFC belt defense against Jon Fitch) at the Gracie Barra academy in Rio de Janeiro. Sweet! Edson should be back in town around late June.

As many of you have heard, our training location, Platinum Gym, are having some issues, and is temporarily closed. They have informed us that they are working hard to resolve the problems, and re-open the gym. In the meantime, we are temporarily training at Centro Plaza Gym, in Puerto Banus, near the Plaza de Toros.

As August starts to wind down, we reflect a little on the great summer season we’ve had at Gracie-Barra Andalucia.

We have had the enormous pleasure this August to have UK-based MMA fighter Lee “The Guitar Player” Doski down here training with us in Marbella. Lee’s one of nicest and funniest guys we’ve had in the dojo, and we’ve had a month of laughs and tough rolls together.
