Open Grappling Tournament Registration (English)

Registration form, in English, for the first Open Grappling tournament in Marbella, 11 August, 2007.

Information about the event

Edson Jorge an his academy Gracie-Barra Marbella announce its first annual Open Grappling tournament in Marbella (Puerto Banus), Spain. (PARA ESPAÑOL, por favor pica aqui)

  • Date: 11 August 2007
  • Place: Soul Beach, Puerto Banus, Marbella, Spain
  • Time: 11:00 to 15:00 in the morning and continuing from 17:00 to 21:00
  • Modality: Grappling
  • Categories:
    1. Beginner: (For people with less than one year experience, white belt only, in Grappling or BJJ, or one and a half years experience in similar sports, like Judo)
    2. Advanced: (For people with more than one year experience, blue to purple belt. Brown or black belts in BJJ should register only for the Absolute division.)
    3. Absolute Tournament: Two categories: Up to 75 kg, and greater than 75 kg. Any fighter at any weight and experience level can compete.
  • Weights:To 66kg, to 77kg, to 88kg, to 99kg, more than 99kg
  • Weigh-in: 10 Agusto 2007 Friday, Platinum Gym from 19:00 to 23:00.
  • Registration deadline: 5 August 2007
  • Prizes. T-shirts for all participants. Medals for 1, 2 and 3 place in the categories. Kimonos (gis) and other prizes in absolute division.
  • Price: 35 Euro until 5 August, or 50 Euro on the day of the event.
